With the aim of supporting, strengthening and improving the quality of primary education in the State of Assam and in accordance with the Right to Education Act, 2009, DEE, Assam invites online applications from eligible Indian citizens. To fill a total of 3800 (three thousand eight hundred) vacancies The application is for Assistant Teachers of LP Schools under Directorate of Primary Education.

Educational Qualifications
| Qualification/Experience | Marking/Weightage |

| Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks | 5% of marks secured in Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary or equivalent Examinations. |
| And 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) | 5% of marks secured in Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) examination or Diploma in Education (Special Education). |
| And Assam TET or Central TET for Lower Primary | 85% of marks secured in Teacher's Eligibility Test (TET) for Lower Primary Schools. |
| (Non-Essential) 1. NCC Certificate - 5 marks for “C” Certificate and 3 marks for “B” Certificate Or 2. 5 marks for participation/ achievement in recognized sports at National Level or beyond representing State or Nation. Or 3. 5 marks for participation/ achievement in recognized Fine Arts and Cultural Activities representing State at National Level or Beyond representing State or Nation (organized by recognized institutions). |

Age Limit
Candidates should ot be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years of age as on 1st January, 2023.
i. For SC/ST Candidates maximum age: 45 years
ii. For OBC/MOBC Candidates maximum age: 43 years
iii. For Ex-servicemen candidates maximum age: 42 Years
iv. For PWBD Candidates maximum age: 50 years
Reservation: There will be reservation for OBC/MOBC/SC/ST(P)/ST(H)/PwD/Women/Ex-Army etc. in district wise, intermediate and class wise breakdown of vacancies.
